BIO
Laura joined HeimLantz as a billing specialist in 2007. From the very beginning, she enjoyed the challenging work, however, what really stood out to her was the encouraging and supportive environment of the team. Laura briefly left the firm in 2008 to pursue another opportunity. But when the firm administrator position became available a few years later, she immediately knew she wanted to return. She spent three years as the firm administrator.
In 2016, Laura was named Chief Operations Officer (COO). In her role as COO, Laura oversees HeimLantz’s day-to day-operations, which include client relations, finance, human resources, and strategic planning. She has extensive experience in hiring and recruiting; she actively uses the TopGrading™ method to find the best candidates for the firm. Laura also enjoys assisting clients with their recruiting and hiring challenges. She has a Green Belt certification with Lean Six Sigma, which aids in increasing the quality and efficiency of processes within the firm. In 2021, Laura became a member of the ownership group. Her outstanding leadership and her commitment to our purpose of Making Lives Better is an essential part of firm’s success.
Laura attributes much of her professional success to her eagerness to learn, the ability to acknowledge and accept what she’s good at, and her determination to do a great job.
Laura currently resides in Cape St. Claire with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. She enjoys the area for its proximity to the water and the rich history of Annapolis. Outside the office, Laura enjoys reading, gardening, and cooking.
