Get to know Jessica
When Jessica was five, if you had asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up, she would have said a pediatric surgical oncologist. Today, in response to the question “What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?” she replied, “I think being a behavioral analyst would be fun, but that might be because I watch too much Criminal Minds.” Despite these dreams, it seems clear to all of Jessica’s colleagues that serving as a HeimLantz staff accountant is the perfect fit for her.
Jessica’s personal motto—and the best piece of advice that she’s ever been given—is that everything in life worth having is worth fighting for. Within the workplace, she strives to improve the lives of those around her and exemplify the firm’s core values.
BIO
To Jessica, the most inspiring part of her job is the fact that the HeimLantz team members work so well together and, as a result, can provide clients with the best service possible. She is a personable professional and strives always to be a team player. Jessica attributes her career success to two factors: her ability to accept and act upon feedback and criticism and the support of her family.
A member of the HeimLantz team since 2021, Jessica is known for being a quick learner and an exceptionally organized professional. In her role as a staff accountant, she works with clients to ensure that their needs are met, drives projects to completion, and assists her teammates in whatever ways possible. She previously served as the office manager of the Alexandria location.
Born and raised in Southern Maryland, Jessica still lives in her hometown of Mechanicsville and resides in her childhood home, which she bought as an adult. She lives with her two young daughters and their Black Labrador, Ella. Jessica eagerly looks forward to marrying her fiancé in the summer of 2023. In her free time, she enjoys going to escape rooms, traveling, and reading.
