Get to know Amy
Amy’s favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because she loves to celebrate with family and feast on a wonderful, home-cooked meal. She loves the crispness in the air, fall colors, and enjoying the long holiday weekend with her loved ones before starting the winter holiday season and HeimLantz dives into year-end tax planning.
Amy’s personal motto is to make things better for people. In high school, college, and the professional world, she has consistently desired to impact people in a positive way, which is in line with the firm’s core purpose of making lives better.
BIO
Amy consistently lives by the HeimLantz core purpose of making lives better. She strives to have a positive impact on her colleagues, clients and the people around her. For Amy, the most inspiring part of her job is working with a team to help clients accomplish their goals. She loves providing clients with a plan, managing their expectations, and helping them address the major items impacting their situations.
After joining HeimLantz as a senior accountant, Amy worked hard to grow and develop. She now serves as a senior manager and the business unit leader of tax. Amy and her team assist clients with projecting their income tax liabilities, structuring business transactions to minimize tax consequences, planning for their year-end taxes, and utilizing technology to capture necessary financial information. She serves a wide range of clients, including government contractors, attorneys, physicians, and other business owners. Prior to joining HeimLantz, Amy spent five years working for PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York City.
Since 2006, Amy has lived in Annapolis with her husband, Aaron. She describes Aaron as her biggest supporter and credits her family for consistently challenging her to become the person she is today. Amy and Aaron have one son—he is the greatest joy in Amy’s life. She loves sharing her interests with him, especially art and music.
