Recently, Tommy Lantz and Dan Russell of HeimLantz, CPAs & Advisors, attended the AICPA’s 2019 Group of 400 (G400) Community Meeting which took place May 6-8. This invitation-only event provided HeimLantz with the opportunity to explore accounting best practices with leaders from other top CPA firms in the country. Our firm leaders were also able to connect with key trailblazers in our profession.
Tommy and Dan’s agenda for the week included an update on the state of the profession by Barry C. Melancon, CPA, CGMA, AICPA President & CEO and Bill Reeb, CPA/CITP, CGMA, AICPA Chairman of the Board for 2019–2020, reflections on how accounting firms can thrive in our ever-changing environment from Tom Hood, executive director and CEO of the Maryland Association of CPAs, discussions and presentations by other thought leaders focused on topics relating to service opportunities, technology and more.
During their visit to Chicage, Dan and Tommy got the chance to stop Wrigley Field and enjoy a Cubs game. Our firm is proud to have the opportunities to participate in such exciting events and collaborate with such dedicated and innovative professionals.
