Mary Ann earned her B.A. in Accounting from Robert Morris University in 1979. Following a key role at Murray, Wamsley & Schrader, LLC, she joined HeimLantz in 2019 as part of our merger with MWS. Since then, Mary Ann has been an integral member of the HeimLantz team, offering invaluable leadership as a partner and delivering expert tax and audit services to businesses, nonprofits, and government contractors.

Mary Ann’s impact on the industry and her unwavering dedication to making lives better are hallmarks of her professional career. “Mary Ann Murray has been a true pillar of our profession for over 35 years,” said CEO, Tommy Lantz “Her genuine care for her clients, her passion for the community, and her dedication to doing things the right way has made a lasting impact on everyone she’s worked with. As she steps into retirement, we honor not just her incredible career, but the warmth and heart she brought to every relationship. Mary Ann, you will be truly missed, and we wish you all the best in this next chapter of life.”

Committed to her community as much as her career, Mary Ann has participated in several professional and volunteer organizations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), and Rotary Club of Lexington Park, Maryland.

Mary Ann has been a valued friend and colleague to all on the team, consistently going above and beyond for both coworkers and clients. “I have worked with Mary Ann for over 36 years,” says colleague Jenny Wamsley. “Her diligence and commitment to her teammates, clients, and delivery of quality services is the foundation of her success. On a personal level, Mary Ann is a kindhearted, generous individual who gives unselfishly to her family, friends, and her community.”

HeimLantz would like to take this moment to recognize the extraordinary impact Mary Ann has made during her time with us. Please join us in extending warm best wishes to Mary Ann and her family as she enters a new chapter in her life.
