Get to know Shari
Shari’s favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because she loves cooking in addition to the leftovers, the parades, and the dog show. Plus, it’s the kick-off for the entire holiday season.
Shari’s superpower would be to speak all languages fluently in an instant whenever needed.
When Shari was five, she wanted to be a horse.
BIO
Shari says, “I take my work seriously; I don’t take myself seriously,” which translates to her being a dedicated individual who is approachable and ready to solve problems for her clients. Known as a caring, compassionate, and committed individual, Shari reflects this through her personal service philosophy of giving freely with no strings attached. She believes the more you give, the more you receive. In fact, part of the reason she became an accountant was that it gave her a way to help others in an area she was good at – numbers!
In her role at HeimLantz, Shari is a manager in the tax department, bringing with her a decade of experience in the profession. She credits her success to being dogged and determined throughout her career. She used these two traits to accomplish one of her biggest feats so far – identifying four years of research and development tax credits for a client that totaled $80,000!
Shari currently resides in Rochester, Vermont, a place she describes as peaceful, quiet, and private. She was born and raised in New England and is a self-proclaimed “proud Yankee.” She and her husband Paul have been married for 31 years; they have two grown children and one 4-legged furbaby named Luna. One of her hobbies is track-driving fast cars. She’s raced on Louden (NH), Watkins Glen (NY), and Lime Rock (CT) tracks. When she’s not seeking the need for speed, Shari enjoys hiking, skiing, riding a motorcycle, and sailing.
